Re: Ted

[Thinks about that....]

[AND SHRUGS ALL THE WAY SLOWLY.]

Trusting others is the only reason I lived even this long. Jack saved me in World War 2, the Doctor saved me more than I can count, my Alternate Universe Dad saved me from the void. And even when bad things happen like Cassandra, it's not like I trusted her. She already tried to kill me like 3 times. And killed the girl the Doctor was interested in.

Trusting people does cost. I mean Jimmy Stone racked up 1200 pounds of debts I had to pay off, and I had too much faith in him. But so what? I would have missed out on the Doctor, otherwise. And saving Jack meant he saved me constantly through my childhood without me knowin', yeah?

Even Adam. He took advantage of me and the Doctor's trust, but then went and saved me and the rest of the Doctor's friends from another enemy of the Doctor.

Most people don't mean to abuse trust, I think. Things just get out of control, you know? And trusting people ... NOT trusting them won't save you. Like I said, I didn't trust Cassandra, but she still managed to possess me. And it was only because I trust the Doctor that he was able to save me the way he did. Sometimes you have to trust no matter what.
